Here's an interesting one from Tracy Conner.  She caught this 25" beauty last summer along the forestry trunk road while fishing with her Dad.  She swears it's a Brook/Bull cross.

ACA Sr. Fisheries Technician  Kevin Gardiner shows off this juvenile Sturgeon he caught on the North Saskatchewan River.

Rob Corrigan, a Biologist with the ACA, shows us a better sized Sturgeon (50 + pounds) from the North Saskatchewan.

This 6lb, 26.5" Walleye made it a days worth of fishing on Eagle lake, for Les Bodis.  He caughi it on a smelt in 15 feet of water.  Not bad considering it's his first Walleye caught ice-fishing.

This Brown Trout was caught by Maxwell Robinson from Calgary.  He caught it on a black and gold Mepps spinner in late September under one of his favorite bridges.  The length was 27 inches long, without a pinched tail, and it was the biggest he's ever caught.

Bernice Kreis gives our host a few pointers and caught this Quarry Pond Grayling in October on a Mepps Xtra Deep Spinner in the Rainbow Trout Pattern.

Billy had never been fishing until this summer.  Here she shows off her very first Walleye.  The fish was caught and released on Crawling Valley Reservoir using a 3" White Exude Twister Tails.  Having a first day like this has got Billy hooked on fishing.

Not to be out-done, Billy's man Jake shows off another great Walleye caught and released at Crawling Valley.

Nice pike pumpkin! Now pucker-up for a picture.  Jake congratulates Billy on landing her first water-wolf.  She hooked it, landed it, and released it.  Nice job Billy ... have you thought of going on the tournament Trail?

Fishing Alberta Executive Producer, Scott Rawlings had the chance to treat his younger brother and Dad to a day's fishing on Crawling Valley.  Once he was able to convince these "easterners" that they were fishing for Walleye, not Pickerel, the day went smoothly.  The boys caught and released dozens of fat Walleye, and as this picture shows, several decent Pike.

Ross Rawlings shows off a nice 5lb Walleye.  By the time the sun was setting and it was time to pack up and head home, Ross was hooked.  He could be heard saying "Just one more and we'll go ... that's it, come to papa big Wally!"

Out of the office and off the rugby field, Scott's younger brother Kent finally got to see first hand what all the fuss was about.  When you spend 10 hours a day in Toronto's concrete jungle it's hard to imagine enjoying a day on a reservoir in bald --s praries.  Needless to say the easterner has a new respect for Canada's best Province!

Dale Schlaht caught this impressive 12 lb Walleye on Tobin Lake in Saskatchewan.  It measured 31.5" in length, and 18.25" in girth.  He was using a lindy rig with a .5 ounce weight and a 10 ft lead on a #8 hook.

Here's Bruce Brinker witha 4.5 lb Wally from Crawling Valley, he caught in 1997 while bottom bouncing.

This 12 lb Walleye was caught by Ernie Cooliey on the Columbia River in Oregon.  It was 31" long, with a 18" girth, and he was using a white stand-up jig and a worm.

Bruce Brinker caught this 14lb Laker on opening day 2001, at Lake Minniwanka.  It measured 34 inches.

Ken Coxon got this 9lb  Lake Trout on Bearspaw Reservoir.

Jeff Loitz caught this monster pike on Gods Lake in Northern Alberta last fall.  He says he measured it at 96 cm, but couldn't get a pinched tail length since his board only went to 100 cm.

Here's another from Bruce Brinker, he caught this 10lb Lake Trout this July on Minniwanka.

Darrel Eveson caught this Brown Trout while downrigging on Lake Minniwanka

Byron Dueck caught this huge Wally on the Old Man River.  She was 27.5 inches long and probably 10 lbs or more.  He was using a 3 inch red wolf split tail grub with an orange head

Aaron Hanson caught this nice bull with a Mister Twister, Sassy Shad, Rainbow Color, while doing some spring fishing on Lower K.

Another Laker caught by Bruce Brinker.  This one was caught while jigging in Lake Minniwanka.

Richard Hardin sent us this pic of a 13+ lb Bull Trout.

James Kowula sent in this one.  He says his friend, James Perry (posing with the fish) caught it on a stimulator on Mackinnon Flats in July.

This photo was sent in by Craig Graham, it's of Ed Grozic.  Ed caught the fish jigging with a spool of 4 lb. test. No rod, just hands because the fishbite is so light there. Craig says he wouldn't have believed it had he not seen it.  The fish measured in at 36", and they guessed it's weight was between 12 and 16 pounds.

Another picture from Richard Hardin of a nice rainbow from Maligne Lake

Bernice Kries with a big Rainbow from Lower Kananaskis caught while jigging through the ice

Bill Bruvold, with his brother Rick, shows off a nice Rainbow from Diefenbaker Lake in Saskatchewan.

Richard Hardin sent in this great shot of a Brook Trout leaping during a hard battle.

Another photo from Richard Hardin showing a beautiful Brook Trout.

Ken Slot, inventor of the Super Slip Jig, shows that his creation really works.
